Samantha Arledge
Samantha Moonbear Arledge is a local 5th generation family farmer, she owns and operates Moonchild Farm in Rock Springs, NC. She holds a BS in Agronomy and an MS in Plant Pathology.
Being in tune with the natural world is more than just a job, she uses yoga to ground and revitalize herself with each practice. She has been practicing for over a decade and still finds ways to deepen and challenge her personal practice. Seeking relief from chronic pain from overuse as a former collegiate and professional athlete, she began this journey to assist others in relieving suffering and stress.
As a yoga instructor, Sam encourages self-exploration to cultivate a level of self-awareness. She is passionate about creating and holding a safe space for individuals to quiet their inner experience, move their body in specific ways that provide freedom and internal space, and inviting people to let go of painful mental and fascial holding patterns.
She holds a 200-hr Hatha Yoga certification, Kids Yoga Certification, and a 300-hr advanced multi-discipline yoga teacher certification. Her studies extend to certifications as a Reiki Master, Plant Medicine Practitioner, and Meditation facilitator. She serves her community as an indigenous death doula helping with end of life planning and ceremony. Samantha is currently studying as an Ayurvedic practitioner and she also teaches Yoga for the Kids Club of the Upstate and is passionate about Yoga for ALL bodies!
