Alana Anderson
Alana has always been surrounded by yoga, as her father is still a lifelong practitioner, but she
began her personal journey while teaching and living in La Paz, Bolivia. While there, she started
to attend Ashtanga classes. As a runner, she was drawn to the physical aspect of yoga, but as
time went on, she found it to be a space of self-discovery, healing, and growth.
Over the years, Alana has practiced Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Vinyasa Flow, and Yin yoga, and she
integrates these styles into her classes. She completed her RYT 200 at Asheville Yoga Center
in 2017. Alana aims to create well-rounded, creative classes that allow students to explore
movement, pranayama, and meditation. While not on her yoga mat, she can be found trail
running, traveling, and exploring the outdoors with her family.
